A former WAG, reality TV star and pop singer famous for her Raunc#y videos could become the mayor of Moscow. Russian stunner Olga Buzova, 32, has been tipped as a candidate to run for office in the capital city by the Veterans Party of Russia.
She was married to Russian international Dmitri Tarasov, whose Lokomotiv Moscow side take on Atletico Madrid tonight.
And the 29-year-old is fond of a bit of political campaigning himself.
In the Europa League in 2016 he scored only to rip off his shirt to reveal a vest displaying a picture of Vladimir Putin with the words “the most polite president”, during an already politically charged match.
Uefa fined the Russian €5,000.
Ildar Rezyapov, one of the party’s leaders, said Olga was the ideal candidate to increase the role of women in the country’s political scene.
He said Ms Buzova had grown up in a military family, graduated with honours both from school and university and had significant experience of public events.
Mr Rezyapov said: “The role of women in our social and political life is artificially understated in our country. We believe she might be able to get support of mass voters.”
He said the proposal to invite the pop star to be its candidate at the may0ral elections in September would be discussed by the party’s governing body.
“We are considering this proposal, and this will be a collegial decision,” he confirmed.
